It's funny how much cheaper the SC was compared to the flagship LS model back in the earlier days (1992, 1993).

Notice the SC4 had gotten more and more expensive and by 2000, it was retailing for more than the LS400.

That's weird. In 96 the SC had 260 hp and in 97 it had 290hp but the price dropped by about $1600. I figured there would have been a price increase

I think the 96 and 97 had the same drive train components.

98 the sc got the new engines

Ok. In 97 they up'd the power to 260hp and then in 98 they went up to 290hp. Got my years confused.

A bit off-topic ... I have the original window sticker for my '93 SC300 5 speed, it is for ~$39,500.

The prices shown are base model prices with no options or dealer tag ons.

There is. I think the tariff for Japanese sport cars got off the roof top back in 1996. That's why the 1996 SCs were more expensive compare to the 97 models. It's one of the main reasons why 1996 was also the last year for Supras, 300Zs, and RX-7s here in the States.

My 95 had the nak. & 12disc. changer and an msrp, cause I have the sticker of 53,500. Oyea its a 400.
