Yep...yet another new member
Registered back in November '02 and have been reading everything I could about the SC's. I'm another cross over RX-7 owner. I've waited a long time to find a Silver/Black SC400 and finally found one. It is in great shape for having 150k miles on it. The owner was meticulous about keeping it maintained and just had the timing belt, water pump and few other things done to it at 149k. I got the windows tinted 5% all around immediately after getting it. Here are a few pictures. Haven't had time to give it a full detail but I will be this weekend thanks to the guys at autopia.org . I'm in the So. Florida area and can't wait to go to one of the meets.

I guess I've been lurking long enough to know to use the seach first
I've spent countless hours on CL studying this car and it's associated maintenance costs and most importantly it's reliability (main reason I bought a 150k SC4 with confidence). It is definitely a great value for the money.
I probably won't mod this a whole lot. For now I'll be more focused on getting it up to par (need to replace speakers, trunk shocks. etc..) Oh, I didn't have the front windshield tinted besides a small strip at the top. I guess with the rest being so dark it makes it seem tinted.
Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm sure I'll enjoy my new home at CL and hope I can contribute to this forum.

Love the color, love the interior. Very clean. An excellent choice. There is nothing wrong with running a stocker....it's a beautiful car no matter what. I guess a Welcome to CL would be a little out of date so.....welcome to Lexus ownership!
I just purchased my first Lexus SC400 this month as well.
Mine is a 1994, black with gray interior with 154K miles.
I notice yours doesn't seem to have seat warmers?
My car doesn't have traction control or seat warmers. I thought those were fairly common but I guess they're optional.
I also noticed that you have a tiny break in your center dash air vents in the exact spot where my center dash air vents developed a break in the black plastic as well.
Things wrong with my car:
1. fuel gauge needle light is out.
2. one of the lights in the instrument cluster backlights is out.
3. spot where you'd normally rest your arm on the door is cracked on the driver's side

Traction control & heated seats was part of an options package. The problems you listed with your SC are all common. The only one that does not have an easy fix is the center vent bezel. Just about everyone here has one that is cracked. The only fix for it is replacement with a factory part. Very expensive, and it will probably crack within a year just like the original one did. As far as your dash lighting issues, see one of our mods OLT. He'll get you fixed up.
