Question Coolant warning light

Hi all, I am new here and I need help. I just bought a 1992 SC400 and have 35000 miles on it. I notice my coolant warning light on and off for about 4 times now and i just bought the car like a week ago. I checked my coolant and its full. Can anyone please tell me what could be wrong?

I had the same problem at 220,000 miles. It was my water pump. Maybe you should check that or other water/coolant related problem areas.

I have the same thing. I believe its the sensor, because it appears to be leaking coolant, and its fizzleing out of the sensor area. Sewell fixed it last year, so I think i'll take it back there tomorrow. I'll post what is wrong with it after they charge me too much to fix it..., haha, maybe they'll actually stand behind their repair and fix it for free, since its the SAME problem!

Probably the sensor!......mines working but it's leaking, have tried to seal it,my last resort is to replace the whole coolant bottle, but i'm not sure if the soarer bottle is exactly the same? wonder what they'd qoute for that? Thought about pooring some radweld in the rad, what do you think?

I'm having coolant problems, too. There must be something about DFW that is causing this. Weird.

I'm hitting up JP IMPORTZ tomorrow to find out. Sewell didn't even bother to tell me that my coolant reservoir was empty when I had my oil changed.

Question Where can I take my SC400?

Just got my SC400 and for sure I need to take it somewhere to get my coolant warning check out, I was wondering if anyone know's where should I take it too other than the Lexus dealership. I want to be able to take it in one place where I can get my oil change or maintenance check up and future modifying. Another question is what else can i do or add to my car for more hp, starting from little things to big things. Couple of people told me, there is nothing much i can do w/ SC400, unlike SC300. My CDchanger is also missing, anyone know's where i can get a replacement for it? There is so many things i want done to the car and i just don't know where to start, I also need website where i can get performance part. I guess for now i'll go one by one. By the way, I'm from South Florida (Coral Springs).
