Default Camber adjustments

Hello guys, I apologize if this has already been posted, I did not find it on the search button.

I am about to place the order for Coilovers, and I plan to drop the car approximately 2 inches in the front, and approximately 1 inch in the back. Want to get rid of the wheel gap and increase handling.

With that drop, will I need to get a camber adjustment kit, or will the SC400 Compensate enough with the camber adjustment it already has?

If I do need to get a camber adjustment kit, who makes them?

Thanks,

Ryan

Ryan,

I think our SC's will compensate up to a 1" drop but any more after that, you'll be better off with a camber kit. Todd from TM Engineering has some kits available for us.

I'm going to have to pick one up soon myself. Which coilover kit are you going with? Tein? JIC? HKS?

Post some pictures of your car, I'd love to see it in the making.

Tony:

Thanks. I will contact TM. I have gone back and forth quite a bit between the TEIN FLEX and the JIC FLT A2. They are both so close, I decided to go with the Tein. The FLT A2 are $300 more as well, not worth it to me.

I will take the pics.

Thanks,

Ryan

Default Being done in December 2003

Tony:

Lots of mods coming up fast in my car:

1. Upgrading the leather seats to Katzkin- the current ones are a bit worn.
2. Just replaced the shift indicator bezel with a new one.
3. Just replaced the main center console with a new one- this is the ivory one that wraps around the whole console.
4. Placed the order for new engine mounts, will match the new transmission mount and new rear main drive shaft seal.
5. Placed the order for the new rear axle upper I-beam mount bushings.
6. Placed the order for the TEIN Coilovers with EDFC.
7. Bought my wife a new Pioneer DEH P3500 deck, and Rockford Fosgate amp. Pulled my 2.5 year old Premier DEH P900R from her car, installed her deck. Pulling the rest of my stereo from her car- MB Quart 3-way and 2-way component sets with competition crossovers, and Alpine V12 5 channel amp. installing Boston Acoustic RX57's in the fronts and BA RM9's in the rear of her car. She likes good sounds, but not to the level that I do. I will be installing the Premier deck, V12 amp, Quart speakers, and a brand new Image Dynamics ID MAX sub ( Leaving the JL WO10 in her car).
8. Ordering the RAAMat for additional sound proofing.
9. Gutting the whole interior of my car and installing all of the above.
10. All of that during the month of December- WHEW!! Lots to do!!
11. Will be repainting my car myself in January or February.
12. Oh yeah, replacing the front and rear upper control arm bushings at the same time as the coilovers are being replaced as well.

Have a great Turkey Day!!
