Default Check engine

My `93 SC400 has the check engine light on. It's intermittent and the failure wasn't active when Lexus looked at it, but from the stored codes they suspect the mass air sensor. They decided to wait until they were sure because it would be $900, I thought uhhuh good call dude.

Now it's staying on and nearing smog inspection. Assuming it's the mass air sensor, can any shop handle this? I like OEM parts but is that important in this case? Maybe it's time I meet my local Toyota service center. Any thoughts?

What is the code? Also do a search, I'm sure you'll find the info you need.
