Default Check Engine light and some issues

alright so i was driving one day parked it over night. when i started it and drove it the check engine light came on and vcs on and vcs off lights came up.and it drives fine but it sound is really low.( i just had removed my exhaust can so i can tell the diffrence) i drove to autozone and pulled the code . it said something about a heat sensor. when they put the code on the computer it said af sensor. they told me it was a mass air sensor. so i bought one and i put it on my car and it still sounds the same. it like lost power or something. anyone have any ideas?

I obviously can't say for certain what the problem is, but if you did purchase a mass air flow sensor, was it an after market brand sensor from AZ? If so, I would highly recommend that when replacing sensors, that only OEM sensors are used as replacements. I've had trouble in the past on other vehicles when using after market sensors vs. OEM.
