anyone using the 4 wheel Big Brake set up?

 

I got them and it feels like hitting a brick wall. Only downside is needing larger wheels.

 

Did you get really good deal, your local to HP racing right? I believe they are in Florida, I heard there awesome but who has the best deal on them!

What size wheels are you talking, I am using 19" hopefully the offset will accept this big of brakes!

Hope FLex doesn't mind, but here are some pics I took of his brakes when he drove up for our Tail of the Dragon meet in NC/TN (www.lexusdragon.com). He has the baddest *** brake setup I've ever seen in person.

You know I thought that too... but I was even more impressed with the six piston REAR brakes

 

Now the ultimate question: How Much!

 

I priced it out awhile back Keith, top of my head it was around five grand for the full F&R setup, doesn't seem too bad when you figure it's 28 pistons clamping down instead of the 6 a stock SC has. Their pad formulation seems very squeaky though, and there's no manufacturer that makes an equivalent that I know of, but they were supposed to be working on a quieter setup that doesn't sound like you're eating crickets, then again there's nothing like stomping on the brakes @ 150 and feeling like you threw a chute out....

Those have to be the sickest brakes I have ever seen, my GOD man! You guys are killing me, you know I'll have to find a way to free up the money for those now!..........LOL

For some reason, they don't seem very appealing to me... Unless those are some seriously large (dia.) rotors, I don't see the need for 8 pots. I do know the advantage of more pots and more piston surface area, but "more" (pots) isn't always better.

And, are the calipers one-off's or what? Will you have to get pads from HP racing for the rest of your / their / your car's life? I'm not seeing any useful info on their site, besides "8-POT CALIPERS". At this point, I wouldn't trade my stock TT brakes for them.. Maybe I'm missing something (like specs, testing, etc)??

The brakes do look nice, though. Calipers are different..

 

Your TT set up is good but these things stop you like a brick wall( from what I've heard). I have the TT set-up now I think w/ the power I'll be running, they won't be enough.......................my opinion! The number of pots doesn't really matter much, HP racing just designed theirs that way, and the results are phenominal so far....................Brembo, AP,Stainless Steel all use somewhat diff. designs.
