Electric vehicle doesn't need those giant intakes, looks like it also has intakes on the quarter panel as well what is this a mid engine V8?

I'd rather have the Roadster that is coming out. I actually like the way the RZ 450e looks so i'm hoping they actually have decent power and range. There is no excuse to not add power to the EVs...incrementally more cost and doesn't impact range at all. Thats why so many of them have 0-60 in the 5s flat range...very easy to do.

This is actually fastest production vehicle in the world, and it can also repeat this over and over on track, it is built to be on track. Here is how it looks:

So that Lexus is going to be as fast as the Rimac? Good to know.

Definitely, you have to keep it cool. Some EV's have front vents on the grill that open for additional cooling when needed. My Wife's Ioniq even has that feature

What we know so far about the Direct4 drivetrain, as designated by a badge on the rear of the RZ, is that it will use front and rear electric motors that provide 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque each. The company hasn't shared a total output figure, but this combination in the RZ should provide plenty more power than the Toyota bZ4X's dual-motor powertrain with two 107-hp electric motors that makes just 215 horsepower in total.

Is it just me or does the RZ450e look essentially like a restyled/refreshed RX350? That shoulder line behind the rear doors looks very similar as well as the overall shape.

The recipe of success is very simple: Give the consumer what they want. Now consumers want ELECTRIC, CUV, LUXURY and RELIABLE. What else combines all these elements of success better than the Lexus RZ 450e? Certainly not the Tesla Model Y or Chevrolet Bolt or Ford Mach-e or Volkswagen ID4 or Nissan Leaf. All they miss one of the 4 attributes above.

Car and Driver is indicating something in the 400hp range.
I'm not sure how they know each motor is 200 hp, but if true, it should dish out quite a bit of power and torque as long as the battery is up to the task.

That electric torque is hard to beat. I was probably going to get a Model Y soon for wifey but will look at the RZ. If the RZ is coming in 2022 (i mean actually in dealerships), I may actually wait for it given it has 400hp and good range. I think it looks great.
