Does anyone have a problem with the Digital Key after upgrading to Android 15?
My Digital Key doesn't work anymore after the upgrade.
Lexus acknowledged the problem back in October of 2024, but nothing has been done.

I just picked my 2025 ux. Couldn't download the digital key upon car pick, car rep guiding through the car said try to download it at home (downloading kept getting stuck right before halfway mark). Tried everything from uninstalling app, reinstalling, deleting data. Still stuck at same spot. They told me to come back to dealership to troubleshoot. Finally checked if I have android 15 and I do. At this point, I'm happy enough with the 2 fobs and card key. Dont think I'll use app to start car but very curious if there was a fix as I too saw lexus acknowledges a problem with android 15 in 2024...pretty long to not have a fix yet.

 

I called Lexus and they gave the solution to that problem.
You need to check if 'Developers Mode' is active on your phone.
If it is, you need to disable it.
After that you will be able to dowload digital key.

 

it worked! I found the developer section. Out of all the research, going back and forth with Lexus. Your the only that helped successfully. Truly appreciated

 

I had issues on my Android phone Lexus app after 15 upgrade and with Lexus app crashing.
Fixed that by deleting and re-installing the app. Works now, including the "digital key".

Just want to say THANK YOU for this!! This was exactly the fix for me.

 

Is the App and Digital Key worth downloading? I have my doubts if it's not going to be reliable, I'm just fine using key. So does anyone have any best practices or horror stories of using App only?
