Default Regenerative braking

There has to be a way to set regenerative braking to default to previous setting when you start the vehicle. The "brakeless driving" feeling and the power savings are two of the biggest features in EVs, so why do I need to press a paddle shifter twice every time I water the car up to get this basic feature?!?
please help

I’m also wondering the same thing. Have you figured out how to set to the level you want?

Currently, there's nothing we can do about it! I took the RZ into the dealership service department and they said there is no option to change the default. Once you go into "drive" and start moving the car, then you can activate the regenerative braking with the paddle shifter. That's it. One of the many UI disasters on this vehicle.
