Reverse warning constant beeping
Has anyone been able to get their dealership to admit that they are able to change the constant beeping while in reverse to just a single beep when reverse is selected?
When we picked up our RZ one of the dealers tech people got in the car with their notebook computer, connected in, and disabled that beep.
We didn't even have to ask. Now it doesn't beep at all when I shift into reverse.

When I asked the dealership technician, he said that they are instructed when readying an EV or hybrid to set the reverse buzzer to continuous. That over-rides the default setting of just a single beep. It gives the clients an audible cue that they have backed out and then correctly shifted into drive when the beeping stops. He said that the cars are so quiet, plus having no slight jerk when shifting as in a gasoline engine car, that clients have neglected to shift into drive correctly from reverse and backed into objects and then claimed that the vehicle’s shifter is defective. So continuous beeping is a CYA setting.
They will return it to default if the client requests it.

Hooked up to my new DB8-BT bi-directional scanner and changed the noise to a single beep with no problem. I had to wait until the scanner updates included the RZ, but the Chinese who make and update the DB8 were evidently able to get into the Techstream programming. The dealership was not a good option, as to get there and back is 150 miles.
The DB8 also has allowed me to finally set up my 2013 LX the way I want. Plus it works on my GMC and BMW as well.

Just picked up my 2026 RZ350e last week and noticed the reverse buzzer everyone is taking about. Went to dealer and they claim it cannot be disabled. I insisted other people have done it and got the tech guy to connect the GTS laptop to the car. You have to select 2025 300e since the 2026 model was not available in the menu selection. Once you connect to the car, go to notifications > reverse buzzer > mute.
