Reverse camera staying on when I put into drive
Hello,
Over the last couple of weeks twice I noticed when I was in reverse and shifted into drive thr reverse camera stayed on thr screen while I moved forward . I stopped and put it back into reverse and then drive and it was fine. I could have shifted the gear lever doen fast without giving it time. Would this be the reason or has anyone else had this issue .
Thanks
Wayne.

What year/model of 3IS do you have?
Do you have any aftermarket electrical accessories on the car?
The multi display shows the camera image based on the Reverse signal it receives. Once you shift out of Reverse the signal is lost, and so is the image.
If the image is still there in Drive, then something is still feeding the display a Reverse signal.
One possible cause for this is an aftermarket accessory, but other things could cause it too.
EDIT: I saw your other post about the gearbox oil, you have a 2014 IS300h.

haha it was strange looking alright 😄 thanks for the reply . I'm going to go slower while changing into the drive modes and monitor it fromb there and hopefully it was just a bug and it doesnt cost me lots if it was to get worse .
Mine does it frequently. Always reverts back so no big deal. I did make the mistake of leaving my trunk open when I reversed the other day and I was looking at the trees and sky. That's a better way of telling you your trunk is open that any bell!
(Also, I realized I posted in the wrong forum but went into Edit and couldn't delete. My bad.)
