I was able to program my RX HomeLink for my garage door with no problem. However, for some reason, it can’t learn (as in reading the code) of my community gate remote. It is a Linear MT-1B remote (318 MHZ). I followed the instructions in the manual, searched online…etc. but nothing worked. This same remote worked just fine with HomeLink in my other cars with no problems. I also called the 800 number for HomeLink but couldn’t get to speak to a human. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I had that same problem in previous vehicles. I think the issue is if the remote has specific number codes (open the back cover), then I could never get it to work.
Moore-o-matic MegaCode is proprietary 1,000,000 codes. I've used Hoermann before with HomeLink (weird EU frequency) so anything is possible. Have you looked at https://bridge.liftmaster.com/#/sele...e-instructions
Most neighborhood/commercial gates only transmit a very short signal. So when you push and hold the gate remote, it stops transmitting after a few seconds. Try this, when the mirror is blinking orange, push and hold the gate remote for a few seconds then release. Repeat this until Homelink blinks green. Sometimes it helps to be parked in front of the gate as well.

it WORKED!!! Thank you so much. This was most helpful.
I've probably programmed Homelink with a "rolling code" garage door opener in 10 vehicles, but my 2023 350h has me stumped. I even resorted to reading the manual... Still nothing. I have a digital rearview mirror which may program differently than non-digital. I push the link button on my garage door drive housing and immediately follow the steps in the manual. Nothing. Does anyone know the secret?
I made this mistake too ... My previous vehicles, with homelink, required pressing the learn button on the garage opener housing (my garage door opener is also rolling code). With the lexus system it learns with the remote, don't need to hit the learn button.

this is the best method. programmed it yesterday. infact the mirror itself provided ste by step instructions.
My Homelink Transmitter button on the mirror on my RX 500H is very weak. I have to be almost on top of my garage door for it to work. My BMW Homelink button works fine, even all the way down the block, so I think the problem is specific to the RX. Is there anyway to make the RX mirror button more powerful? As I said the BMW button for the same garage door works way better. Thanks for any help.
Interesting...our RX (and our European car) have a nice long Homelink range...longer than the actual garage-opener remotes that are in our other two sports cars.
