Default What is included with Cold Area Package?

Does anyone know what is included with this option, besides a windshield wiper de-icer? It's only a $100 option, so it can't be a whole lot. My dealer has a 350h coming in, and it has everything I want, except for this option. Being in Northern Minnesota I would prefer to have this option but if all it is is the wiper de-icer I could do without it. Can't find any reference to a heater difference with the option, or anything else for that matter. Thanks.

AFAICT it is heated wipers and that is it. Handy if you live in an area with ice and snow. There are other cold weather options (at least in 2022) like heavy duty heater, but I do not know if they can be optioned for 2023.

Not sure if it is the same on the RX, but the Cold Area Package on the 2022/2023 NX is also a $100 option. It includes the windshield wiper de-icer and a fast-response interior heater.

For sure front windshield defroster but other claims theres other items as well such as high output for heated seats from previous gen RX. And also heated steering wheel is not part of the cold area package.

The windshield wiper de-icer switch is under Climate Options.

The 2023 Lexus RX Deep Dive videos are full of information like that.

yeah, I got it, wonder if I will ever notice it. On a related front I do kind of like the way heat is directed to my sideview mirrors.

You'll only ever notice it if you need it. Its purpose is to unstick the wipers when they are frozen to the windshield.

yeah, I understand the intent, I'm just curious as to whether it actually works or not.
