got our car yesterday and the door is completely flush..they claim they have not seen this problem, and I couldn't find any problem doors when I looked around.
The dealers always claim every problem is "non-existent" - the digital key, the gas door, etc.

I can't argue with that, but I slunk around the lot and couldn't find any non flush doors...it was all I could do to pay for the car and fight off all the extras they wanted to sell me.
Add me to team not flush. Had the service department look at it and they made it a little better, but still raised up on the rear edge like it is not closing all the way.
just adding mine to the list....figured i was an anomaly before seeing this thread
Haven’t got my 500h yet but just wanted to know if the car still has the unscrewable gas cap or is it capless now? Maybe that piece of plastic attaching cap to cover is what’s causing doors not to close flush?

Oh yeah, it still has the awful gas cap. I don't know why Lexus doesn't go to a capless tank filler. And you might be right about that plastic piece that holds the gas cap on. It always seems to be in the way when I'm trying to close up.
My 350h was built the beginning of Feb and door is flush so maybe they fixed the issue on builds after Jan. That aero excuse sounds like BS. The only master tech I trust is the "car care nut".

If you asked Ahmed the Car Care Nut if what they say as this being some aero design, he will laugh I guarantee you. That’s just like a dealer that I ran into many years ago after test driving a used Honda Accord and it was pulling to the right. Clearly it had an issue with the wheel alignment and he tried to explain it was a safety feature. Really? You think I was just born yesterday? 🤦🏻♂️
Picked up my wife's new RX350 Luxury yesterday. I forgot to look at the fuel door until we got home. But it's flush at the moment. Based on posts I'm reading, I guess I better see after opening/closing the door few times. Everything is Great. She's super happy w it...so I am too. 😁😃
