Default Unicode Display

I got my RX350h today. I surprisingly found the car didn't support to display any Unicode characters on the infotainment/MID display. Squares are everywhere for Chinese/Japanese/Korean words. Excuse me! It is a 2023 14-inch iPad! I never saw other modern cars had the same issue for years!

Another lack of internationalization is Celsius support. Through Mile/KM, and Liter/Gallon conversion is there.

BTW, you cannot really "share" remote control (via the APP) to others. Only one person can gain access. When you share it, you lose the control of it. Weird implementation.

Are you in the US or Canada? I have heard the story the dealer can change that via OBD port, but you cannot do the same on the go.

Canada. Metric up here. (Although I still use inches in building stuff - as in 2x4 lumber)

That make senses. Here in the US but still wish it could be a user option and linked to the driver profile, as most of other brands do.

Our Nissan Pathfinder allowed the user to switch from F to C. Not sure why that is not an option.

I believe it, other than losing the track pad every other thing in the new system is worse than the last one. It’s one of those things you don’t notice unless you experience other systems and have spent a couple months with this one. Huge disappointment IMHO.
