How many Key Fob are included with new RX?
Does anyone know how many Key Fobs comes with the new 2023 Lexus RX 350h Luxury. I know you can purchase the digital key (smartphone) with a subscription, but I just want two key fobs.

Can that physical key start the car, or just unlock the door?

As far as I know, it’s only for unlocking the driver door. And then if there’s any juice left in the 12V battery, the alarm is triggered and you need to stick an actual keyfob on the Start button to shut it up. So I’m not sure what’s the point of giving us 2 physical keys. Maybe it’s a legal thing.

One key fob. They have a sign plastered on all their cars at my local Lexus dealership. Not sure if they'll be giving out second key fob eventually.

When I took delivery of my 2023 RX 350 the dealership we will eventually receive a second fob. He was not certain as to when that will be in the future, only said that Lexus is not going to forget about us and will deliver second fob.

I wonder if they are going to have to drag everyone back to the dealer to have the 2nd fob programmed.

Still just one fob 1/8/23
We picked up our ‘23 RX yesterday and still only one fob (with extra metal key hanging from ring) with the promise of a second fob in the future. We did find two fob covers in the glove box - so that was a small bonus.
our dealer had no idea when the second fob would appear or how it would be delivered.

I picked up my 23 RX in Ontario last December and only got one remote and a promise that a second would be "provided" at a later date. They wont say when. I am starting a complaint with the government body that oversees car manufactures in Ontario and recommend every one affected do the same in their province or state.

Lexus was holding cars for a variety of reasons including the key fobs, Navigation parts and heated seats.
Consensus was to ship the cars with one fob rather than hold them in transit. While it is a hardship to suffer
the use of a car with only one key at delivery there are car brands shipping cars with features that will not
be retrofitted. BMW may be missing XM tuners and/or Touchscreens which won't get mailed to you later.
GM truck may lose the cylinder deactivation (and 1 MPG) and wireless chargers (no loss IMHO) and HD radio.
Tesla passengers may miss the lumbar support. Nissan and others are getting credit for no Navigation System.
On the plus side many of the Lexus models shipped with only one fob at delivery may have the optional Card Key
which is a electronic fob without the buttons. There is also the option "DK" which enables the Lexus App to function
as the key. Requires a subscription after the 3 year trial but they are going to get the second fob to us by then, right?

congrats on your 23 RX hope you are enjoying yours as we are! What are you expecting the government to do? We also got one remote and promised a second would come at a later date. We are okay with just one. I understand the inconvenient but what are you expecting the government do?!

Drive with one key or walk with none?
