My wife drives a 2025 RX350h P+ and we hate; yes hate, the headlights on it. They have no power or projection to them. My son has an RX with the triple beams, which are ok, but a cheap pair of aftermarket LEDs on my Highlander out perform them.
I desperately want to replace the wife's RX headlights with a good LED but I cant find anywhere in the manual or online that tells me which headlight bulb they use. I have even called the dealership about replacing it and they never got back to me. I just took off the beauty cover in the engine bay and put eyes on the headlight housing unit. It looks like a complete unit, meaning I can't replace the crappy Lexus bulb with anything other than another crappy Lexus bulb (complete unit). Am I correct in my assumption or does anyone have any thing to add?
Thanks to everyone who replied. After the original post I figured I'd have to adjust them. But, the low beam light output is so thin, no brightness to them; I didn't think it would help. But, so many of you said it did help, so I'm going to try it out as soon as I can.
As a plan B, I was going to re-aim the high beams down so they worked as low beams. They put out a decent amount of light.
Try aiming them a bit higher. I have driven both quad beams and the single beam versions, and agree that the single beam is insufficient for dark roads with factory setting.
I had a 25 RX 350 and it had the regular headlights. I took it on a trip to Watkins Glen. At night on roads without street lights I found them not that bright. And I found it aimed low. I moved on to a 500h with the triple beam and it’s noticeable brighter but I find it also aimed kinda on the low side. I’ll have to adjust it.
Compared to other marques top shelf lighting I think some are better. Sad you can’t replace individual bulbs. It’s good enough for me though, the triple beam that is. I think it will be just right once I adjust it a tad bit higher. Can’t believe I didnt consider it until I read this thread. I used to do it on my other cars.
