The RX's AWD can't match Acura's SH-AWD, but it does a job.

Zero comparison especially 450H RX it feels like motor yacht on curves and even at acceleration as its luxury cruiser. Closest to Acura MDX would be 500H with rear steering or 350 S-sport Handling package.
Which is why for 2027 450H+ t will get v6 set up like TX550H.

V6 may be to big for this Car as much smaller then TX but 4C turbo should be standard on it I'm happy with power better then my MDX v6 3.5 a bit slower then my V6Turbo but not very much slower, most definitely a smoother and quieter car
OK
I'm in love with the 450h+
AWD not amazing but it does work ok maybe the winter tires but do not know, either wait was a great upgrade from MDX Type S, I guess I', just too old for sport car

Interesting take. Motortrend found the RX450h+ to give almost identical performance and handling benchmarks as the RX500h, and I've been very impressed with the RX450h+ on canyon-roads.

I imagine the handling feel of the RX500h would be nicer, but for actually hustling down a canyon-road, the RX450h+ does great and I have never felt let down by the performance. The handling is even better now that I installed a set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires in it.

"Motor yacht" does accurately describe the 2013 RX350 we had previously. I never enjoyed that car on twisty roads. The RX450h+ leaves that vehicle in the dust.

I have actually driven the 500H as a loaner when my 450H+ was in service - and I did enjoy the "lighter" feeling of the 500H but found the cabin noise and drivetrain smoothness atrociously poorer relative to the 450H+ - which is explainable given the significant drivetrain/engine differences between the two versions, and the heavier traction battery of the 450H+.

For every person, its a matter of trade-offs in what they want out of their large-SUV, and for me, I prefer the comfort and drive-train smoothness of the 450H+. I will get a sporty EV for spirited driving - not try to stupidly extract that experience out of a 4500 lb SUV.

The above-poster trash-talks the 450H+ at every opportunity all over this forum - and I chalk that up to them having made a poor choice when they made their purchase decision. If you buy an apple when you are looking for an orange, and then trash-talk the apple, the joke is entirely on you, not on the apple/orange. In fact, I would be too ashamed to talk about it, if I made a purchase decision like that

Yeah, I definitely don't take the RX450h+ out when I'm wanting to drive in a spirited fashion, but that would be true of any RX and most SUVs. I have a GR Corolla, which was built for that purpose.

That said, when we had a 2013 RX350, if I had a choice between canyon-roads and highway, the highway won. It just didn't feel comfortable on a road with lots of tight curves. The suspension would get overwhelmed quickly.

With the RX450h, it feels right at home in the canyons. Even at a rapid pace using near the limits of the tires, the chassis always keeps its composure.
