Default 2026 RX350 auto stop eliminator

New Lexus owner, recently purchased a new RX350 luxury in Nori Green. Bought it for my wife, she loves it. We were always Honda Pilot owners, but we didnt need 3 row seating anymore and she really wanted a Lexus. So far, so good...ride is very nice and I am pleased with the turbo 2.4...very responsive...dont miss the V6 from my Pilot. Ok, heres my question...I put in the 4D auto stop eliminator in the Lexus and it worked fine for a week, then stopped working. Took the panels off the center console, unplugged the unit, plugged back in and still would not work. I ended up returning for a refund.

I have used similar devices in my Hondas with zero issues and there were a few companies that made this type of defeat part for the Honda...however I can not find any companies except 4D or those selling the 4D unit for the late model Lexus with the 2.4l. Has anyone found another company that makes this defeat assembly for a 2025 or 2026 Lexus with the 2.4?

Maybe the engine is too new, not sure. Seems odd that only one company makes the idle eliminator for the newer RX350. Not looking to experiment with other years of assemblies that are out there as I dont want to short or cause electrical issues.

Any solution assistance/input is appreciated.

This is the fourth model year with that engine. It’s not new at all.

I think he was responding directly to your comment about the engine being too new as a possible reason for there not being a wide selection of alternatives. This is a respectful community where people contribute where they can and don't go after each other, unlike other forums I've been on. I seriously doubt he was being purposely unhelpful.

understood...it was my understanding that the 2.4l in the non hybrid RX350 was started to replace the V6 a couple years back. There are companies that make the auto stop eliminator up to 2024, but only 1 I have found for the 2025 and 2026.

No issues here, just looking for solutions

Years ago I had one of the devices in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it plugged into the OBD2 port and was very easy to remove when the car went to the dealership. Since then I've opted for the low-tech finger push method each time I start the car Unfortunately I don't have any useful suggestions for you. And welcome to the forum!

I also use the low-tech method ... muscle memory teaches me that I should automatically turn off the auto start-stop button every time after I start the engine. The TX can be opted with the V6, and I wonder if it still retains the auto start-stop button in that configuration.

I totally agree that the people in this community are overwhelmingly friendly and polite, and would post their comments even though they are not directly responsive to the question raised. It shows camaraderie and cohesiveness while also displaying a plethora of divergent views for sharing!

I got very spoiled in my Honda, not having to think about the button. At this point it will need manual intervention...oh well, there are a lot worse things 😁

I am so glad my C8 corvette does not have this function, no way I would venture into that dash.

If anyone comes up with a solution other than 4D, I would try. I should have read the amazon reviews on the 4D unit first, so many folks with the same issue, works, then stops. Cheers.

I appreciate the statement that the car tells me to "push break harder to set auto-stop", so.... we do not apply the break hard and it rarely ever turns the motor off. ('25 RX350)

I appreciate it also. It lets me know in those rare instances where I forgot to push the button when I started the car. I do, however, find it strangely disconcerting at times that my RX sometimes reminds me of my mom....."push that thing harder!"...."look up and pay attention!"...."what did you leave in the back seat?!". I find myself yelling back at the car like a rebellious teenager, "alright, alright!"

Default Start stop eliminator

I own a Rx350 2025 and I didn’t like the constant start stop so I decided to buy a start stop eliminator.
I found and order one on AliExpress that had the year range for my rx350 and it mentioned AL30, which is the generation number for my car.
The installation was a breeze and it is working great.
No more button to push to disable that( annoying) feature .

Like you Richfl01. Why quote Kensterfly with nothing useful to say?

Until a start stop eliminator not made in China is available, we'll continue to apply light pressure on the brake peddle to not engage the auto stop feature. Or hit the disable button on the console.
