I installed the OEM screen protector a few days ago. During installation while I was moving it around for placement, it adhered to the what I thought was the glass screen. While positioning it I discovered it had lifted up part of the protective plastic wrap that the dealer never removed when the car was new. That wrap has been on the car for 2.5 years! I noticed when cleaning the "unknown" wrap, some areas of it were getting harder to clean and it looked marred. When I removed the protective plastic film, the screen was perfect and I didn't even need to clean it prior to installing the protector. The screen looks great, so much so that I can't even tell it has a screen protector. Polarized sunglasses look fine.

Wow. When I first started reading your post, I thought for sure you would have to order a new one. I am surprised it came off so cleanly and you were able to use. That is awesome!

chuckNX,
I think you did misunderstand my post. I did order a new EOM protector. I peeled off the plastic wrap from the factory and installed the new EOM protector over the glass screen to protect it from getting scratched and allowing me to clean it without worrying about damaging it. My whole point was that the EOM screen protector is made so nice that it functions as if there were nothing over the original screen.

I’m a little confused. Bought an aftermarket screen saver for my new MY25 RX350. When I went to apply it it looks like it already has one on it. These are pics from what it looks like with supposedly no protector on it. I supposedly don’t have any aftermarket accessories on the vehicle. If that’s the case is this how they all come? Sure looks like something over the screen.

lgb0250, see my post #34, Lexus applies a disposable plastic protective film from the factory. The dealer's should be removing it or at least letting their customers know its there so they know to remove it.
