Default 2026 rx

Couldn't find anything definite on the '26 model. Since it will be in its 4th year, any ideas when the 26 will be released and if they will update it with the new new hybrid engine, or make some changes to the grill, etc?

I'm with you. I'll perhaps be in the market for a '26 RX, but i only see speculative opinions regarding changes. Surely, decisions have already been made at this date. Have we missed official communications?

Spoke with the dealer last week. He checked his system and confirmed no RX changes for 26. Speculated that no changes likely for 2-3 years. Rav 4 changes for 26, then likely NX for 27, then RX for 28 or so. Some just speculation of course.

The first four Generations of the RX were produced for 5/6/6/7 years. Gen 5 RX replacement not occurring until '28 would put it at 5 years, the shorter end of the prior Generation durations.

Cosmetic changes (e.g., new front grill) might well occur earlier, but I don't see a powertrain replacement before a Gen 6 RX comes out. Powertrain is a more significant upgrade than a typical in-Generation refresh.

My guess is two years from the new Toyota system going into the 26's.

Saw ia spot on Youtube where Lexus Global had put out info on the RX update but did not specify the year, guessing it would be for 2026. It included acoustic glass for the rear windows, additional soundproofing, some updates to the suspension and 4 wheel steering for all hybrid models. Not sure how accurate or if it would apply to North American RX's or not.

It's unfortunate that nothing for the powertrain is planned and if so, it's still like 3 years away. The new 2026 RAV4 has a much more powerful hybrid system since it's updated. It shouldn't take this long to get that updated Toyota technology in a Lexus.

I think the Camry hybrid has the newest system, right? I would say the 2026 RAV4 would have that same updated system.

What are the issues in them?

Also some issues with a false alarm on low oil level. I'll stick with the power train we have in the 350h. NEW is not better in this case - it means Never Ever Worked.

Default 2026 RX Design?

I wonder if the RX video below is click-bait, a design concept, or a real design for 2026?

I hope that's not really the '26, the exterior absolutely pegged the ugly meter for me.

(I know people have different opinions of what looks good, that others may find it attractive.)
