Default RX 500h AWS Makes a Diff

Having owned a '25 for a few months, I ended up having a 350H as a loaner, I saw how AWS makes the 500h more agile. On my driveway, I always make a u-turn so i can backup in the garage and since I take pretty much the same line to make that U, the 350 turn radius is noticeably wider. Also the 500h has more pep but thats a given.

Quick check of specs, RX500h F-Sport turning circle is 35.4', all other 2025 RX models are 38.8'

On paper it doesn't seem very much but in my experience, taking the same line to make a U, definitely does. But this is just on my case, probably won't make any difference to most people

Our 500h has the tightest turning circle of any car I've owned...except for a Triumph Spitfire.

The rear steering seems to be 'progressive'..that is, it turns the rear wheels sharper with more steering-wheel angle. I can plainly sense this, maneuvering into our garage.

+++++++++++++

On the road, the wheels turn the 'other way', making the RX feel as if it is 'drifting' a bit, tail-out. Again, it takes more-than-average cornering speeds to feel the effect in cornering.
