I went to a local locksmith and he thought he could program it but failed. I found a mobile locksmith online. You have to make sure they have Toyota's tech steam software in order to do it. Yes, He did both the programming and cut the key. It wasn't cheap. ($300.00) plus the card and key which I provided. Tip: order the parts from Lexus EOM online. Don't get it from a 3rd party. A reused card won't program, only a brand new one will.

 

Can't imagine doing all this just to avoid carrying the fob but enjoy it if it works for you.
