I recently purchased a new RX and the dealer set up the remote key but I have been unsuccessful in adding the key to my wallet and to my Apple Watch. I can press on the Lexus logo manually on my watch but the Hey Siri command does not work and says that I need to have the app downloaded (which I do). anyone have the same issue and recommendation? TIA! (I did try to delete the key and start over but that didn't work)

 

The phone key is essentially useless. You certainly can't rely on it and must carry your physical fob otherwise you will find yourself locked out/stranded.

The watch app works sometimes and other times not. Half the time I try to open it it tells me I need to open the phone app instead.

I find the remote start does work okay, from the phone, though. I long-press the app icon and then choose Start from the menu.

Yup same with the above, I see the novelty of it, but to be honest it's kinda useless/redundant for the sake of being safe to just bring the key fob anyway. Especially if the 12V battery dies, then you have no way of getting in if you rely on just the phone app. I had it for one month, and during use, just brought the key fob with me anyways as a failsafe. With reports of the digital key also introducing some parasitic loss on the 12V, more for me to just not use it until corporate pushes a newer software update, which I don't think a fix will be anytime soon.

 

I have been calling Lexus...they are trying to help but the Hey Siri is useless. They cannot figure it out themselves. Think maybe it is my operating system. Nice in theory but useless!
