I have a 2024 RX 350h with the 21" 20 spoke wheels with the dark grey metallic finish. I scraped one of the wheels on the curb of a parking garage and would like to touch up the affected area.
Does anybody know what the color code is that wheel? There are no codes on the outside of the wheel.
Based on my past experience, the wheels typically do not have a color code like the body. With my ES, I searched for something close to the graphite finish they have and the match was pretty close.
That is typical in the Lexus lineup although there are aftermarket options including the one in the thread above for the F Sport wheels. In the past, for a different color, I've custom mixed paint using some some silver and black that I had laying around.
You can find a friendly auto parts store that will let you take a few samples out to the car to try to get the best match. Luckily, this metallic dark grey is a common vehicle color. I'm curious to know what you come up with since I have the same wheels.
I would say that any satin or matte black paint would suffice to make the scrape less noticeable, especially at a distance of 20' or more.
I know that our local NAPA can custom-match paint, ask for their sample cards so that you can go outside the store and compare. A friend's custom aftermarket alloys were matched that way.
If you are REALLY ambitious, here is a video on repairing curb rash.
I use the grey color touch up from my 2020 ES. It's not exact, but better than nothing. I use that on the 2016 RX F sport rims and the 2024 RX dark grey wheels.

A dealer accidentally sent me Cloudburst Grey (1L1) touch up paint and let me keep it. I found that it's a good match to the 21" Dark Grey Metallic wheels. I'll use that if I ever need to.
I can confirm cloudburst grey touch-up is a close match to the 21" multi-spoke rim. It's not perfect, but from a distance and with a little dirt it hides the rash well.

Those wheels appear to be the Premium Plus or Luxury that are a shade lighter than the 21" Premium wheels we have where the cloudburst matches pretty much perfectly. The shade on yours is difficult to due to the muted ultra-black chrome-like finish.
I would add an additional coat where you mix in a tiny bit of iridium or a lighter silver with that to match the color perfectly. Also mix in a bit of clear coat if you haven't already. Nice job!
Ya I tried adding the iridium but it was too light so then it looks like it went back to a rash. It's hard to get a perfect mix lol.
Yeah it's tough but using microdabbers and adding tiny amounts may be the key, with some practice. I've been experimenting on a repair with another similar color and Iridium seems to be a good base or mixer. You can always start over and wipe the touch up away with lacquer thinner or acetone. It won't affect the underlying, cured polyurethane finish.
As I mentioned, that color is difficult because it's likely a base of chrome with a darker tinted clear on top to achieve the final finish. Very tough to match with touch ups but you can get it good enough from a few feet away and even more so once they have some brake dust and road grime.
