Default Ceramic Coating

Have an appointment Thursday to get my new RX350 ceramic coated. Predicting a high of 40 degrees. Is that too cold to have it done? Worried about application and curing time when it’s that cold.

Acceptable temperature range depends on the particular product used, having said that 40 degrees sounds too cold for any of them to cure properly.

Don't they apply it indoors?

It must be applied in a climate controlled, clean environment. If it is being applied by a reputable business then they should be following these guidelines.

The potential issue is after application, depending on the coating it can take 7 days for it to fully cure and that's at 60+ degrees.

"IF" the detailing shop doesn’t have a climate controlled inside environment at 60*F+ for applying a ceramic coating, I suggest that you run away and find another shop.
