Default Setting Extra Maintenance Reminders Possible?

ON my last SUV I could set reminders for tire rotation, cabin filter, etc. Can't seem to find such a thing in the manual or on the screens. I only see oil change. Did I miss it?

I have given up on new cars.

The Lexus app has scheduled maintenance schedules, in the app under Health>Vehicle Health Report> Maintenance Schedule,

but if you want to do your own thing (like more frequent oil changes on the turbocharged engines), keep your own spreadsheet (or a little Service Log Book in the glove box) with maintenance performed.

The maintenance indicators can be reset independent of oil changes. Haven't found a way to be notified of your own interval, though.

regards the spreadsheet: I was willed a meticulously-maintained sports car recently, but the past 10 years the owner kept of spreadsheet of service performed (some of which I did at his request). When he passed, those records were lost because he never gave his caretakers his computer passwords.

Yeah, I was disappointed. My POS Nissan allowed me to set reminders for tires, filters, etc.

The onboard maintenance reminder happens every 5000 miles. There’s nothing the car needs more frequently than 5000 miles so just use that and do anything else you wanna do at the time.

but yeah, if you can’t remember basic maintenance , you might want to write it down on a spreadsheet. A simple table thrown in the glovebox a viewed every 5k will do.

All that tech and a simple settable reminder is not possible.

There's not much to keep track of, so I use paper...

In the past I used an Abacus, but they tend to rattle!

That'll work! Admittedly we don't drive that many miles in retirement, but every time I approach a service interval and consult the Lexus manual, I'm happy to see so few things required. Pretty much oil change, air and or cabin filters and that's largely it (and changing some fob batteries.)
A bunch of check this and check that. My independent service guy tells me we bought good cars (two Lexis) and the bills are always pleasantly low. Color me happy.

I miss that feature too, mainly for when I buy replacement tires and the rotation period no longer matches the service intervals. I'll go back to keeping track of it in my fuel economy spreadsheet.
