Default Cargo illuminated trunk sill install

Just bought a 2024 RX 350h and contemplating getting the illuminated trunk sill. Part is $238 part # PT944-48232. Don't want to spend $200 to have dealer install. Has anyone installed one and what is the procedure? How difficult?
Thanks

Crazy that I can't find anything on the internet about it even for older Lexus. The NX section has a little chatter here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-...door-sill.html
It doesn't have the instructions but they found the plug it connects to. If the cargo sill is like the door sills I bought, it came with very good instructions on how to install.

The illuminated door sills I just got did not include instructions. Instead, a small piece of paper saying to refer to a Toyota procedure that I guess the techs have access to. @Urlik was super helpful tho. I took pictures of the install and plug location for my 2024 RX350 install if anyone needs that info.

I don't have one of these on my RX but, one came with my wife's NX and they are essentially the same, in terms of installation. I have had both of these vehicles apart in the rear cargo area and have removed the sill plate on both in order to install a towing harness on one vehicle and a tow converter on the other. While the steps are a little time consuming, it is really not a difficult procedure, if you are mechanically inclined, it is fairly simple. While I had the sill plate off of my RX, the plug for the illuminated version is clearly visible below the sill area. Just a small bit of advice and this is only my opinion....this illuminated sill plate really adds very little to the car. If my wife's NX had not already come with this item, I would not have opted for it. I improved the lighting in the cargo area of both of our Lexi by simply changing out the LED lights (all three) on the RX with some far brighter ones that I found on eBay, by way of Taiwan. I did the same with the NX however, there is only one LED on the liftgate of the NX. Still it is a great improvement for both vehicles. The lighted sills are pretty weak, IMO.

The cargo lighted sills are really just for appearance, and don't throw appreciable light. The door sills, same thing. Except the door sills do provide a bit of extra guidance as to where the sill is when entering the car. You see the door sills every time you open the front doors, and to my eye - they look cool. But its a matter of preference.

Oh snap. I found my instructions for the door sills. I'll scan and add them to the other thread on the door sills.

Has anyone done the cargo sills yet?? Is the plug already there like in the door sills area?
I added the lighted door sills today, very simple job, just wondering about the lighted cargo sills.

Yes, there is a plug connector on all of the RX wiring harnesses from the factory. Wiring harnesses on all of these will be the same. See my post #4 above.
