When road side assistance jump started mine by attaching the negative to the body, the first 2 attempts created a spark and didn't start. 3rd attempt started but ended up with all sorts of system malfunctions. I had to take the car to the dealer and it took 2-3 days before I got the car back. Apparently, they did not know how to fix the malfunctions and had to call Lexus for advise! I suspect that the sparks created a surge which caused the malfunctions. I also now use a trickle charger, unfortunately with short leads too. Since the terminal per the manual is part of the engine, I always now attach the negative to an engine bolt as the negative terminal.
I am still trying to figure out what is causing the dramatic charge drops. It's just inconsistent. I tried most of, if not all the suggestions I can see in this thread, nothing reduced the battery drain. One time I saw a huge drop in less than an hour (ie. after washing the car, the charge dropped to 12.12V/68% - only thing I can think off is that the door entry lights were ON while I was washing the plastic area at the bottom of the door.) Sometimes the voltage goes up while the car is parked.
That would be so cool if it did. My service manager said the 12v activates the hybrid but no way for the hybrid to charge the 12v when it's dead. If anybody figures out how to initiate the hybrid to charge a dead 12v it would solve this crazy mess for good.
That had happened to me too - but it was not a problem with the Ionic ES1200 - it was interference with Wifi and other signals in my home. I diagnosed and proved that to myself by using a different and older Iphone in my home. Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wifi can and does interfere - as they occupy similar and potentially overlapping frequency bands. Changing my home wifi channels and 20 MHz bandwidths fixed the ES1200 bluetooth connection problem for me.
Thanks wrinkle. So what is "Changing my home wifi channels and 20 MHz bandwidths"?. Not that tech savvy. You mean change my wifi settings to 5.0? I tried that. I have a wifi booster in the garage and I've tried the 2.4 and 5.0 on it and without the booster to no avail. Also downloaded the app on my wifes phone and wouldn't work with her iphone either. Tried deleting and downloading the app, rebooted my phone, etc. Interestingly, the app downloads from the cloud? Not used to that happening, apps usually download directly from the app store. I'll be in touch with the company soon and post results. They said something about a new download may not work well with iphones but he would talk to their engineer. Just got to FL for a few months and wow, really appreciated my 2024 RX350h. What a fun and comfortable automobile. Any help appreciated. Just saw your link and I'll study up.

The basic problem is the 2.4 GHz Wifi network (say, from your Wifi booster in the garage) could be interfering with the Ionic App's Bluetooth connection with the car. That's what happened in my case.
To confirm if that's the problem - you can simply check the connection to the Ionic ES1200 when you are away from your garage/booster, say at a park or by side of a road - where your home's 2.4 GHz wifi network (or any neighbor's) is not present. The app delete or phone reboot, if done with the car is in your garage with your wifi booster - will have no effect, if the problem is indeed your home's/neighbor's wifi - so you can try this when you are physically distant from your home's/neighbor's wifi signals. Yes, when you delete any iphone app and reinstall it - it re-downloads from the Apple Cloud of your own account - that is normal and not a problem.

Well, I tried rebooting my iphone and ES1200 at a state park, at other places, and tried connecting with an android device. Nothing will connect. The Lithium Hub customer service number still has a recording that says they will reopen Dec 30th and it's Jan 2nd. I messaged their chat box and they advised to contact the company??? I emailed yesterday and I'm waiting for a response and I'll try the return process on-line. I get that we've had some holidays but this is rediculous. So based on the device's failure and lack of customer service, I do not recommend the Ionic Emergency Start. Thanks for the help!

Every experience varies. I haven't had any issues with mine, and I bought it from Walmart for the extra added return protection 90 Days! and used my AmEx Card so if it dies, I will file a claim and get my money back.

You bought the actual LithiumHub from Walmart or something similar? I would be surprised if Walmart actually sold the product since the company is only 2-3 people in size and their address shows a warehouse with a different company name. I would be leery of buying something like this from such a small company. There are most likely re-packaging a chinese product and putting their name on it. I doubt they did any R&D themselves or I think LinkedIn would have more than a couple people from the company.
I see the GooLoo product on Walmart's web site, same deal, but Walmart is not the seller, they just deliver the product. You are actually buying from a different vendor. I wish Walmart would clean this up as you have to look very close to see what is in fact sold by Walmart, and what is being delivered.

Hm, it seems they are selling through Amazon now - but yes, they were selling on Walmart previously.
As for buying from any company, I should be very leery of buying from Lexus next time, no ? Since they are the reason anyone of us are even having to consider this thing, and this thread would not even exist if it were not for Lexus ?
Lol, no I purchased directly from the Lithium Hub company. Pretty sure most electronics are made in China or other than the US. I am definitely reconsidering Lexus due to battery issues.

I just experienced the dead 12v battery issue by using the ACC mode for just a few minutes. A quick jump with a Schumacher Jump box, reset a few settings and I'm back in business. Reading this thread was extremely helpful
Lesson learned .. Never use "ACC" mode EVER, EVER, EVER

I must be missing something here. I've used the ACC mode for as long as it stays on (I think the auto-****off is 30 min?) and no issues. Car has sat in the garage for 25 days and fired right up. There must be some parastic drain/battery issue affecting certain cars, but it sure has not happened to me.

Yes, you are missing this entire thread of 926 posts and 91,666 views.
My car had also sat for 26 days (without external charger), started up, and then had died twice in the next week of driving.
If one doesn't experience the problem, it doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. It means they just don't understand the problem.

Which specific vehicle to you have? Did you actually use the radio for 30 minutes with the car in off mode?

2023 RX350H - Android Auto radio Like I said, I find the situation interesting and in reading all the posts, it seems to have a battery at its nexus, but I suspect there is some charging algorithm thing going on in certain cars.
