I just noticed new drive modes “ Sport S” got added along with “EV mode” both grey out and can’t be selected. To bad bc I always wondered why my F sport didn’t have Sport S like I use to have on my prior F sport. Maybe they’re bringing it back? But then why EV mode that be impossible as I have ICE.

 

I had those same new "choices", until I drove the car a bit. I suspect it's an all-in-one update, which then gets customized by the ECU after driving. Would have been fun to have a Sport S mode, tho'.

 

Aww your right, I checked it after dinner and all those options are gone!!! I wonder what model would have the Sport + I was disappointed when I noticed my F sport only had regular sport, I really enjoyed it in prior generation.
I wonder what real difference is on the prior generation, both engaged the adaptive suspension, and faster shifts with the transmission holding gears.

 

I noticed after the update that my GPS said “network busy” (the Lexus navi) and when I pulled up a destination 150 miles away, it said out of area. When I got to my destination, within 5 miles, it still said, out of area?!?

CarPlay GPS works.

 

I have had this before with my home address which I know had worked prior, the important thing to note is sometimes it would do this PRIOR to this update. I can confirm has nothing to do with this update.

 

I applied it today. So far I see no fixes, especially the simple fix of returning the music screen back to Favorites after a text message comes in and flashes back & forth to CarPlay. If they can't fix that one, I have little hope for anything else. Their programmers must not even be driving these cars.

 

I would love to have my half screen map/Radio on factory Nav , also street name at the bottom of Map that your on..

 

i wonder if it fixed the integral apple music ..

many of us switched to integral amazon music n stead .

apple would lock up and not connect .. lexus had no clue why only apple music

 

One of the reasons that it is stupid they don't release a full list of changes including bug fixes. If they did we would know.

 

The update did make my iphone13 wireless carplay sync unstable to the point that I removed the phone from devices and re-paired it. Seems ok now, but yeah a specific list of updated points would have been nice. Can't really see any improvement pre versus post update.

 

i have to confirm it but i believe after the update when lexus nav asks would i like to go to a place she selected and i answer yes. , it didn’t automatically go to the route .

But I'm skeptical that voice recognition improved...
I asked my wife for $50 while driving the cars and she ignored me! <<<kidding>>

 

PS: We noticed today (a week after the update) that the drive mode had been reset to NORMAL.

If you prefer ECO or SPORT make sure that you select it again.



On the 2023 RX 500h, the individual choices for STEERING RESPONSE, SUSPENSION, and A/C were not affected by the 2050 update.

 

Mine even before would reset always to normal from sport . My 2019 did same as well I always have in sport + and it always would reset. Its very annoying now that there is **** that you need to go into menu or create short cut on steering wheel for drive modes.
I miss that **** and I miss Sport+,!
