Service frequency?

That was a nice batch of cars I guess. Our 2013 RX has never had one single issue, still going strong though it has been demoted to my usage since my wife got a new 2023 RX. I'm not not sure why so many folks try to overthink the basic issue of servicing in general and oil changes in particular. Follow the Lexus schedule. It's really not heavy on maintenance at all. Modern synthetic oils do great for 10k, no reason to worry unless maybe you drive around Baghdad all day.

follow the manual! No need to make things complicated. And instead of asking for the (for example) 20k service just go a la carte and list the items the manual tells you to take care of, most often just an oil change and some inspections....very reasonably priced, especially if you go to a non Lexus dealer you trust (maybe a Toyota dealer)...

What do you mean "at only 5k miles?"
Are you saying you want to go to the dealer more often lol? That seems like a terrible waste of time.
BMW/Audi/Mercedes require every 10K-ish- the computer actually tells you based on usage
Lexus recommending every 5K is a bit much IMO

Pretty sure that the original post is questioning the 5k as too low of miles. I believe the 5k interval is mainly due to the need for tire rotations.
