OK not actually my wife but ...
If I'm listening to an audio book while in my 2023 RX 350h, and I pull into the garage, while my wife is listening to an audiobook on her phone... her book pause until I turn the car off.
Anyone ever hear of this ? Whats causing it ?

 

My guess is her phone is trying to connect to the car, and continue playing there. But one or both of the systems aren't smart enough to recognize you are already using the Bluetooth audio channel.

 

My wife is listening through Bluetooth.... not Car Play. I have Android Auto ...( yep, we're a mixed / broken family). Maybe she should get Car Play ....Whether that would help or not I don't know.

 

We too are a broken family (Android/IOS) and do not have these issues.

 

Broken family here too. Not exactly the same issue but might help (if you have not tried yet). I observed that my wifes iPhone always connects to the car first whenever we get into the car. I have set-up her phone as "secondary" so mine is primary.

 

Our RX would always connect to the wife's phone if it was in the garage, even if she was in the house, and wasn't going with me.

Solution was to tie different FOBs to the different user profiles. NO ISSUE any more.
