I would have jumped on a Copper Crest, if there had been one available when I was searching. I settled for Iridium, only because it was the only other RX450h+ available and I had to drive 86 miles round trip to buy it. There was black one available locally and black does look great, especially right after a detailing but, black cars are like a Neodymium magnet for dust and dirt after that happens.
How on earth is BMW lower in reliability than Kia? Anecdotally, they're not even close in my experience.
This is 100% true. BMW's are known to be repair prown. Kia on the other hand has snuck right up there in quality & reliability big time. At least going by Consumer Reports.
Salesman and finance guy both told me (without being asked) that all they see in terms of customer demand is white, black and the silver/grays in-between. Before ours came in they had none on the lot to
That’s what I was also told and also see on the road - and told that is driven by perception of “resale” value of those colors.
Very strange to me and cant identify with any of those choices or rationale.

I'm going to guess that this is within the first year of ownership? I've got a few friends and family with 20+ year old BMWs still running around. None with a Kia past 10 years.

Yeah I'm not sold on bmw being so unreliable these days. My son in law is on his second 4 series - this one the M4. Seven years old now and never back to the dealer other than scheduled maintenance. My daughter has a newer X5 - also nothing bad ao far but its less than two years old. Please let's not compare BMW to Kia in any way.
