Default New Lexus Scratch Fix

My new 2023 RX350 was scratched by somebody in a parking lot. It looks to me that it scratched by a key or some sharp stuff. Anyone has recommendations how to fix it? Or should I just leave it? Its a 2month old car. It really sucks to see this scratch everyday😭😭😭😭

Dr. Color Chip if you want to try it yourself.

If you are lucky, it is on the clear coat only. You can try a scratch remover. I have had good luck with Nu Finish Scratch remover and 3M Auto Advanced Scratch Remover. It will take some patience but if it is only on the clear coat, you may get it to be much less noticeable or possible gone. You should wax or ceramic coat this spot after a successful removal.
If it is deep into the color, then Urlik's recommendation of Dr. Color Chip is a good option but very difficult to blend with the tri-coat paints.
Agreed, this is hard to look at every day after you spend this kind of money and did not do the damage yourself.. Best of luck, Would love to see an "after" photo if you are successful.

I have had great results from Dr. Color Chip. You results might vary. Looks like it the scratch went all the way into the primer. I am not sure anything you can do will make it disappear.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions..I finally have time this Friday to take my car to the dealership to get the quote for fixing the scratch. They are charging $700+tax😭😭😭 After they pulled my car out of their service dept, I realized my scratch gets a bit bigger and worse than before, however they deny they did anything rather then just checking…now I might really need to do it by myself or just leave it. Help😭😭😭

Look on yelp for a mobile car paint guy. Or try an auto body shop.

Thanks! I just worry I mess up and make it even worse by trying fixing by myself.

I live in Houston, I don’t think I have seen car mobile paint.

Has anyone tried “Scratch Wizard”?
https://scratchwizard.net/scratch-repair.html?p=3
seems like Dr. Color Chip is primarily for chips.

ChrisFix (on YouTube) has some good videos regards repairing deep scratches. Here's one:

The main thing to remember is to build up the paint in the area of the scratch, to make the repair HIGHER than the surrounding paint. ~13:33

It often requires several coats. I like to give the paint a few days to harden. 15:10

I don't know why people are suggesting these vs just get official touchup paint in your color. Last I checked it is only $10-15.

Even if you hire someone like a detailer or paint if you come to them with the correct vial of paint you will be ahead of the game.
Technique to apply the paint and get a good result though is a little bit of an art as well as exp. doing a clear coat.
