Default Sequential Rear Turn Signals

I had a thought about this last night and it brought me to the previous gen RX thread link here. Their resolution was imported Japan (JDM) rear taillights. I was wondering if theres a sequential module so we can simply connect to the rear turn signals.

They're so narrow, I wonder how good it would look.

I think it would look good. I have a feeling to enable this feature, its either locked by software via the dealership?!

I haven't seen any video with sequential turn signals on a gen 5 RX myself. Does the rest of the world even get them like they did for gen 4?

Yep, doubt it. Japan does not have our Department of Transportation! They regulate our brake lights.

Amazingly, it depends on the size of the individual light elements. https://jalopnik.com/we-can-t-get-th...gov-1729310906

Found a walk around video from Cambodia. No sequential rear turn signals. My guess is you'll have to wait someone to do a sequential turn signal module for the car. 9:42 mark:

Either Lexus chose to not do it or they couldn't do it and meet DoT requirements with the light they wanted to do. The fact that it seems no gen 5 RXs have sequential rear turn signals makes me think the answer is the former.

It is the stupid DoT... I remember reading some post awhile ago stated each light must be larger then a certain size, so for them to put sequential, the light need to be bigger; I did the research when I had my LX (missed it ), it has sequential in Japan

I have read these regulations somewhere before and the amount of minimum candlepower along with size was what the DOT used in it’s regulations.
