we until last week only had 1 fob. There are 4 drivers and 3 profiles set up. I am Profile 1, wife is 2 and son is 3. Memory 1 is set to me and 2 to the wife and 3 to my son. if my other son drives it he will adjust a bit and when one of us drives it , we hit the Memory setting to get everything as we want as the profile has a tendency to auto save.
I had similar problems, and I called the SOS number to register and walk me through it. My main problem was only one email account can be recognized, and the dealership put my wife email as the primary user (which it is her car) So until I got registered from the SOS folks, it allowed me to create a separate profile, and the setting follows the user.
While the Lexus Interface is a huge improvement, the driver profiles, digital key, memory position, (facial ID?) overlaps make this a mess!
It should not be this difficult to have two drivers use a damn vehicle!
isn’t that the truth. I just told my wife I just want to do like I’ve done with our other RX and ES, push my memory #2 and get in and start it up.
This is exactly what I've been doing since last May until we can make the trip to get the second key.
Same here. Works well, and I think it works for other options than just seat, steering wheel, and mirrors.

Aligning the profiles with fobs (when the 2nd one arrives) is a great option for us and is exactly how our X5 was. I have my key, wife has hers. Whoever is driving, opens the car with their key and the car is set up for that driver. Works great... well, at least I hope it's this easy... again... when the 2nd fob arrives...

Yep - the prior generation worked like that already just by recognizing the fob - no profile stuff. Will this gen not work that way once we have fob #2?
We received our second fob and I connected reach fob to it's profile.
It works just like the old RX. It recognizes the driver as soon as the person with that fob opens the drivers door.
It does get confused when we get in at the same time with our fobs are on us through different doors.
It greets with correct profile but then it switches to the other person's profile with second fob if in the car.
I found that we have to get in and start the car first before the second person gets in.
This is a half - 3/4 baked system. It's very clear that Toyota rushed to get it out to catch up.
I think I'll stick with pressing "2" when I drive my wife's RX rather than adding a second profile. I only need the seats, mirrors and wheel adjusted to my liking - nothing else in the profile that I can think of.
I setup my face ID (I’m the second driver). When I get in it mostly detects my face but gives a popup that says my profile detected and should the car use it. But the problem is the popup stays for 10 milliseconds! Of course I’m exaggerating a bit but it literally stays for 2 seconds and disappears. After that if I fidget through menus to change my profile I have to enter a 6-digit pin! Whoever in Lexus thought they were securing this feature have secured it well enough so pretty much no one can use it 😀
I have also got used to pressing 2 on the seat settings. Much simpler and predictable

Did you then get registered to one car with both your wife’s and your email addresses? Or are you saying you still must be attached to your wife’s (email-based) account?

Problem with this is that unlike the old RX - you cannot link the key fob to a seat setting #1. The key fob is linked to the profile and when you press #2 while logged into her profile, that becomes her new setting. You have to remember to hit #1 before you exit the car to return it back to where you want....AND - in my experience, you have to drive around a bit in order for it to get saved back to her profile.

Absolutely not the case. Key is linked to her profile and it goes to setting 1 upon entering WITH DRIVER DOOR every time regardless of what setting was last driven.
