Do heated front seats heat the seat backs?
Wanted to know if the heated front seats (the RX with luxury package's leather seats) heat not only the seat bottoms but also the seat backs. I know Infiniti and Mercedes do a great job providing lots of heat to both areas. The Lexus dealer said they heat only the bottoms. Need to know the actual answer before purchasing. Please let me know the answer and also let me know if they get nice and warm at the highest setting. Is the auto setting the only way to make sure the heating feature doesn't stay on all the time while driving? I know there is no auto turn-off feature. I guess another question is does the seat ventilation put out cold air through the seat bottoms AND the seat backs?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Wasn't aware there was a difference in function of seats between US and Canada... Our seats and seat backs heat and ventilate.
Heated seats are subjective but they are plenty hot enough for me (unlike the steering wheel heat).

Thanks for confirming from Canada but can anyone in the US definitely confirm that the seat bottoms AND backs both heat and ventilate in the new RX?

Both bottom and backs of my seat get warm. Not quite as warm as my LX but plenty warm for me. I usually start out at high but have to turn it off after just a few minutes, by then the interior in the interior is heating up.
The 450H seems to be able to produce heat very quickly from dead cold in the morning. Just a few minutes and it is heating the cabin nicely.

The quick sound byte "more face heat, more seat heat" was to illustrate what happens
when you turn the main HVAC control(s) to a higher or lower temp. The Automatic Seat
will follow along and become hotter or cooler. Try this - turn the main HVAC panel to
Auto and set the temp to 70. Tap the seat control(s) until only the green Auto light is on.
Now lower the main system temp adjustment by tapping the blue arrow until the readout
displays "65" or "Low". The seat control display will be showing all three (3) cooling lights!
Now tap the Passengers main temp all the way up to "Hi". Watch the Passengers side
seat display now shows all three (3) heating lights. This works as described if the ambient
temp is not crazy extreme < freezing or > 95 degrees.

I am driving a new RX today, as my LX is getting the oil changed. Seat backs definitely get warm. My wife was pleasantly surprised at how fast and how much it did in the passenger seat. She was making sounds that she doesn't normally make while sitting in a car... I think it felt good.
