My seat bottoms get nice and toasty, but the seat backs do not. I had a technician look at it last month and he basically said this was normal. He explained that the system uses ducts to channel the air and the seat bottoms get warmer because they are closer to the fans. He even told me that this was a design flaw and said the old heating strips worked much better. Has anyone else had this problem? More importantly, has anyone else had this fixed?

In my LS the heated seats take a long time to come up to heat. It seems pretty even across the seat and back. But then I get in my wife's RX330 and the seat heaters get hot in half the time and come to a much higher temperature. I was told the aniline leather in the Ultra does hinder the heating effect a bit. I may have them check it out next service visit.
