Has anyone been able (or attempted) to add a custom start up image?
I loaded a folder named "Image" with a few JEP images in the folder on a thumb drive but I keep getting the no image message. The system recognizes the drive, but not the folder which is labeled exactly as required by the manual. What am I missing.
Well, a little background then. I just traded in my 2013 RX 450h for a 2016 Rx 350. Very happy with the new car.
In the 13 RX, I was able to load a custom start-up image using an SD card. According to Lexus, I should be able to load upto 10 JPEG images to the new car.
I doubt many owners have delved into this subject, but I thought I would ask. I would be surprised if the dealership has ever had this question before.

Reason: spelling
Two different thumb drives formatted FAT32. Both are functional under MacOS and Win 7 Pro. Single folder named "Image" (case-sensitive per the manual). two .jpg's <500 kB, far smaller than the prescribed 10MB limit. No long file names, no non-ASCII characters.
The system sees the thumb drives and reports (correctly) that no music files were found. Then "Copy from USB" reports no image files found. The images are viewable in both Mac OS and Win 7 Pro.
Have you tried changing the file extension from jpg to jpeg? It shouldn't matter on a full blown computer, but the manual specifically calls out 'JPEG' and it might be that picky. Worth a shot
edit: I lied, the users manual says "jpeg" but the nav manual says jpg or jpeg should be fine.

Thanks to all for taking time to reply. Though I had reformatted the USB stick twice under Win 7 Pro and started afresh following the manual to a T, it didn't work until I formatted the USB stick under Win 7 Pro on another computer. Even though the original format was readable by both Mac OS and Windows. Reason #11,277 why I use Macs 99.99% of the time!
