I just did mine and it was fairly easy. Reformatted on Window 7. Created folder with title IMAGE (not IMAGES as instructed in manual).

As for resolution, I'm still messing with it to find the best one..unless anyone knowS!

IMAGE? My manual and the downloadable PDF version both say Image — case sensitive.

I used Image too and it works. Somebody mentioned somewhere the resolution is 1280 x 480. But don't quote me on this.

1280 x 480 for which display? I have the 12.3 in. display in my new RX 350 and haven't figured out yet how much of that big display I can cover.

I worked with Lexus technology guys a couple months ago, and they said the wallpaper image will use the "size" of the old 8" screen. You wont be able to "fill" the entire screen. I myself tried dozens of resolutions and they will always shrink to fit a "small square" image in the center of the 12" screen. Very disappointing.

Thanks for the report. OK, not the way you or I would design it, but not quite the end of the world, either; a superfluous novelty.

Only if Lexus would work on software/firmware update on the nav so that this can be changed and improved! Instead of us buying a new car to get the picture to fit the entire screen.

Based on various forum posts, I tried 800x480, 1200x900, and 1280x480 resolutions. 800x480 worked the best:

Does anyone know the specifications needed for the video file? I would like to replace that Lexux Enform startup video.

I've messed around with the resolutions as well and thought 1200x900 worked well. My wallpaper has a black background though so it kind of blends in either way... If 800x480 worked best I'd think 1200x720 would be better since it's the same aspect ratio but higher res., not that it'd make a major difference on such a small screen though xD

Not too sure about the video file.

Hi Guys,

just bought an RX with a 12.3 navigation. Does anybody know the startup/shut down image size?

Default Did anyone get a reply to that last question?

Which resolution/size fits the 12.3 inch screen perfectly? Thank you.

I think I read somewhere that people have tried all sorts of resolutions/size and you still just get a box shape that only covers the center third. Maybe someone smarter than me figured it out.

I have a feeling the software was never updated to account for the wide screen 12" display, so it can only handle a standard 4:3 letterbox image which is what the base 8" display has. I've used 1024x768 images and they look pretty good, but yeah, quite a bit of wasted real estate on the 12" display.

Correct. The software doesnt support the 12" screen.
