Dash vibration? (RxH)
I have the hybrid model and about 900 miles. I notice a vibration noise that seems to be coming from the dash when driving. I can't pinpoint a driving condition or temperature that is causing the noise. It sounds like a creaky vibration (almost reminds me of a fly buzzing but not as high pitched) - I'm hesitant to call it a rattle because it's pretty subtle, but enough to bother me. Sometimes I don't hear it for a whole drive trip, other times i hear it for a few seconds at a time, sometimes a few minutes. My passenger thinks it sounds like it's from the driver's side, I always think it sounds like the passenger side.
I took it to the service center today and took a drive w/the tech. He said he only heard it for a little bit and sounded like it was from the driver side (as he sat in the passenger side). He couldn't find anything loose. The ended up telling me to drive another 1000 miles and see how it goes.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Try this. See if there is a noise when you flap the drivers side sun visor closed...then wiggle the side if the headliner on the front driver side opening of the sunroof. That's where my noise is coming from, I bet yours is too. Let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I checked that are and it didn't seem like I had any noise from there. Still can't figure it out!

It's not the same vehicle, but I had a sound I thought was coming from the same area in my Highlander. Turns out it was the hood that wasn't balanced, and it was moving enough to cause some noise (sounded like it was coming from the dash though). I readjusted the feet under the hood and it sits better now, and I haven't heard the noise in months.

I had the same noise coming from dash area around the navigation when the materials are heated up. After several visits they were able to fix the noise around the navigation but it has migrated to the driver side.
There is also rattling noise at times from the left rear mirror. They said the rear mirror vibration/rattling noise is as "designed" and can't be fixed.
