New RX450h owner (less than a month). I love the car, except, I was expecting a zen experience, and I'm mostly getting it, except it's marred by the occasional rattle creak.
Phase 1 - pretty much the week I bought the car, the front passenger door made noise at certain speeds, and on certain surfaces. This came and went, and I took it in to the dealer, who added some felt insulation around the door handle (they said).
Phase 2 - now, when I go over sharp bumps (think Botts' dots on the freeway), there's a rattle from the same area, and the occasional one from the dashboard and center console (approximate locations)
The rattle I'm talking about is not quite a rattle, more like a higher pitched papery creaking noise, hard to describe. It's not loud, I don't notice it when the stereo is playing, but otherwise the interior is so quiet, this noise becomes a bit jarring.
Any ideas? Should I just suck it up, considering it's quieter than anything else I've ridden in, rattle and all?
I had a similar sound coming from my 17 450h. Drove me crazy. Kind of a scratching, squeaking sound. Not all the time but a good bump would cause it. Hard to isolate where
it was coming from. Somewhere up front on the dash I thought. After MUCH searching (rearranging the glove and console contents etc), I discovered it was my sunglasses in the
upper sunglass holder. One of the arms was vibrating when I hit a bump and it rubbed against the plastic interior of the holder.
Thanks for the responses. It seems like the passenger side arm rest. If the passenger pushes it in towards the door, no noise, if they let it go, noise. Well, it’s going back to the dealership this week-hopefully they fix it for good this time
I have a 2016 RX350... I notice when I go over bumps I often hear a creak or rattle in the rear... anyone have a problem like that? Dealer can fix? Common issue? I have another RX350 and I never hear this.. thanks!

I don't think it's common, but anything can break on any car at any time. Certainly take it to a dealer or a suspension/exhaust repair shop, but first make sure there isn't anything rolling around in any of the storage bins in the back.
