Default Deep snow, RX vs. GX

Has anyone owned or driven both and can speak to which one would do better in deep snow driving assuming the same tires? The GX gets a lot of mentions in this regard but I think the RX technically has higher ground clearance. Curious if I would notice a difference as I spend a lot of time in deep snow up in Tahoe before plows come.

Will duplicate on GX forum

🙏

Momentum is of value in deep snow. I have a 450HL and it is great in 12 inches of snow. However, if the snow is wet and heavy and I am going up a steep driveway, I will turn off traction control, because if speed is lost it can loose power and thee wheels will stop spinning. With the traction control off it will not stop spinning the tires. The big issue is whether you will get high centered. No vehicle can keep plowing and if the snow is deep enough it will get high centered no matter how much power is going to the wheels. I suppose the Gx has a transfer case, so it always has power to all the wheels..

I’ve owned both 2011 GX vs 2016 RX and both are decent in the snow but I would have to say the RX seems a little better, maybe because the GX stands a lot taller it seems a little more clumsy.
