I think though this is likely just a “nag screen” message. Fob batteries are cheap and easy to replace, so why not start there?

Back to basics, did you get a replacement fob because an original went missing?
Our Lexi will not lock when an active fob is in the car...could the errant fob be jammed
under a seat? I once found a missing fob outside an NX in the channel near the wipers.
Nearly invisible but close enough to be sensed by the inside sensors. Caused the car
to both Not Lock and could be started without the known fob inside the car.

Sorry I don’t have anything constructive to offer. How close are you to a Lexus or Toyota dealership? Our dealer is open on Saturday and may be able to help. We have also seen all sorts of wacky problems if the 12V battery needs to be replaced. It might be worth checking that as well.
It is not the key fob batteries. We had the guy who made the spare key scan the car and it is coming up with this error “Lost communication navigation module”.

Well shucks. Tried the obvious, easy solution; looks like it’s time for a trip to the dealer….

Have you re-booted the system? It may not solve the problem, but it's worth a try.
Press & Hold the Radio button for 10 sec or so, the system will reboot and see if that solves it.

I thought I posted this reply last night but I don't see it - here it is again, from memory:

Who made your key??

Since buying my first Lexus in 2009, the few extra keys I've had made (actual keys, not fobs) were all done at the dealer. My 2019 RX came with two key fobs so I have not needed to have an extra fob made - but if I do, I'll probably have it done at the dealer to make sure any issues are on them.

I hope you get this solved, as I'm very curious as to why this is happening...

We went back to the key guy. He had a diagnostic tool that indicated an issue with the Nav system. No issue with the key.

I have the answer….I had plugged in a power bank to recharge. It was interfering with the key locking system. As soon as they unplugged it. it worked 😊. A shout out to Watertown Lexus. They are great to deal with. 👍
