2022 RX Auto folding mirrors?
After we took delivery on our RX450h if I remember correctly, the side mirrors folded automatically. Now I notice they do not. I do not remember changing anything. How do I get the 'Auto fold' back?? Tried to find info in previous thread without luck.
Same thing happened to me but an easy fix. With the engine running, press the "manual" button to fold in the mirrors then press the "auto" button which is just to the left. The mirrors should then extend back out and your "auto" will be set. I have a 2017 RX 350 base. Yours could be slightly different.

Just tried the 'Fix'. Sems to be working. Now to see if it will continue to work for my wife(her car until it needs washing of gas..).
I did only activate the electrics without starting the engine. depress the Start Switch with foot OFF the brake. Seems t work o.k.

Hit the manual button before the car wash to fold in the mirrors. After the car wash (with the engine running) hit the auto button. The mirrors will extend and the "auto" function is reset. Done.
A memory aid for this function:
Press the "Inboard" side of the switch to fold them in.
Press the "Outboard" side of the mirror control to fold them out.
This will maintain the Automatic mirror folding when locked feature.
If you press the inside to fold them out you will not enable the Auto fold.
Second important consideration regarding the auto mirror folding involves how you actually lock the doors.
When you lock your car using methods that require the key fob to be present:
a) pressing the lock button on the fob itself or
b) touching the outside door handle
you are locking the doors, arming the alarm, notifying the Lexus App and folding the mirrors
When you lock the car using methods that do Not require the key (even if the fob is present):
c) pressing the inside door handle lock button or
d) pressing the mechanical toggle that lock only that door
your are locking some or all doors but Not arming the alarm, notifying the App or folding the mirrors.

'jcg' & 'mcomer',
Thx for the memory aids for folding & unfolding mirrors. I will incorporate this into my actions. Now to try to train my wife to do this as this is technically 'her car'. I just get to drive it when it needs gas or a wash....
Hopefully soon I will replace my Nash Metro convertible with a Lexus LC500, and then I can practice these maneuvers on 'My' car.
Can't beat this forum for good information.
