Hi All,

I own a 2017 RX 350. Love it! However, just this morning when I put in a different CD (I'm old!), no sound came out. The timer counted about 10 seconds and then my display says "Audio off". But the radio, bluetooth, satellite all get audio and work fine. It's only the CD player. Just yesterday it was fine with no issues. And nothing changed!

I've tried "resetting" the display by holding down the power button but it didn't help.

Any ideas? Anyone have the same issue?

Did you check to see if the CD plays on another CD player?

 

I tried 3 different CDs. Same result.

I guess one difference is that it got cold last night. Don't see how that would affect just the cd player audio. I can even hear it when I skip tracks to see if a different song would work, so I know it's spinning in there.

 

Try a head cleaner disc.

 

Since it was cold, there might be some condensation on the glass piece of the laser-beamer-thingy. Let things warm up for a bit and see if it that helps?
