That’s fine but, the only reason I can think why your fluid is low is because your brake pads maybe low.

Might want to check that out.

Brake fluid should NOT Just go down that much without an underlying issue or worn pads.

I wouldn't just add fluid. I would find out why and fix that.

After all, there are 3 virtual systems on a car that are absolutely essential: brakes, tires and steering.

Just my opionion.

This has been my experience as well. Replace pads and brake fluid level returns to normal as caliper pistons are no longer extended.

Do you check brake fluid when car is cold or warmed up? I appreciate the advice, would you have Lexus inspect and replace if needed, or a National chain?. It’s sad they’re worn at 29,700 miles with 1/2 those miles being highway. Thanks for any suggestions on where to go if needed.

Does not matter with brake fluid, check it anytime. If you do not work on you cars i would have a toyota dealer change the brakes. It will be cheaper to do so and always have a master tech do the work.

You can't be sure if your brakes are worn until you have them inspected. In my (experienced) opinion, I wouldn't go to any chain repair shop. Either go to a Lexus or a Toyota dealer. I have a trusted local repair shop that does all my work. If they aren't worn enough and the fluid is low, have the entire brake system checked for leaks.
As COCAL posted, you're probably due for a brake fluid change after 3 years anyway.

The brakes feel fine. No I didn’t have it at 3 years (got RX in July 2018) So knowing Lexus this could be the 3 year Change oil reminder?? Has anyone gotten this as a reminder?

I have never seen this and I have never owned a Lexus vehicle for less than 3 years. To be fair, I have also never replaced my brake fluid and the dealer has never recommended it. I didn’t realize it was recommended at the 3 year point and I have to wonder if that is the case for all models.

I just dropped off my 2018 RX F-Sport for its 40K service. After reading this thread, I asked the service manager if mine was due for a brake fluid change. He looked up the 30K service for mine and showed me that they had changed it then (OCT 2020). He said they usually just change it at 30K and 60K. If you got the Lexus 30K mile service, you might want to check and see whether they changed it or not, at that point.

This reminder must be set manually, it was probably done by the previous owner. Yes Lexus recommends this change every 3 yrs better than my MB which is every 2 yrs.

Default Light was just reminders to do service

Got oil changed. The Light was just reminders to do service. Brakes are fine. I told them I’d make appointment.
Does it void the warranty if I don’t do the brake flushing?
Thanks

Probably not, but why would you risk it? Brakes are your No. 1 safety item on the car -- it there's no evidence that it has ever been changed, and the car has been on the road for over three years, it seems like a no-brainer to have the fluid changed, for your own safety.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, it attracts moisture. Today's brake systems are well sealed, preventing moisture from building up and rusting components, but eventually moisture contaminates the fluid. Another issue with brake fluid is that additives to prevent corrosion, viscosity stabilization, acid neutralizations, etc. brake down with time and use. Thus, it is very prudent to replace the fluids every 30,000 miles or so, particularly in city driving or highway stop and go with a lot of breaking. Brakes are the most important safety item in the car, followed by tires, so they should have the most attention. A brake flush typically a little over $100 and could be performed in any good auto repair store. Tires and brakes are the items to regularly check and maintain...
