Default One AC Vent not blowing air (2016 RX350)

Out of nowhere the center driver side vent stopped blowing air. I was switching from AC to heat while driving and it just stopped. All other vents blow air at the correct temperature and speed (although the driver side vent by the door seems a little weaker than usual). Back vents working fine as well. The vent door is open and I’ve scrolled through the various options/buttons. Any thoughts?

Have you checked the outside air intake vents under the windshield? Any debris clogging them?

A possibility would be a faulty blend door actuator. If the cars' computer is detecting it, an OBD II scanner should display the fault. If you don't have a scanner Autozone will do it for you for free.

Default Any solutions?

I have the exact same issue, driver side center outlet is closed no air comes out from it. Is there a known issue or repair diy video for our model? I could not find one for this model.

Seems to be a number of posts on this issue on other Lexus models - see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ash-vents.html , among others . Short summary seems to point to servo motors deep in the dash and reinitialization via dealer software often fixes the issue without expense of replacing the servo motors.

I replaced a blend door actuator once on a Lexus Rx. It is a small plastic part that flips a vent door open and closed when activated to allow air to flow through the vent. It is an inexpensive part but, of course, requires getting back into the dash to replace it. As I recall, the process was something like this for me although it depends on where in the dash the problem is. It was a part like this.

if you have a scan tool. perform Servo Motor Initialization. do it more than once.

Which servo was it? (For those with these exact symptoms) Same issue here, driver center no air blowing at all, outer driver cold but weak airflow. Both passenger side are great. I tried the battery disconnect to reinitialize with no luck. I used the special functions on my scan tool for ac servo initialization 10-15 times and no luck. So I have to replace a servo, but which one of the 3 was the fix for these exact symptoms?

Did you guys find the solution for this? Started my 2018 RXL up 30 minutes ago to drive home and exact same symptoms. Both passenger vents and rear in the center console blowing cold as normal, center driver side dash vent blowing nothing, and driver side vent left of steering wheel blowing very weak. Also doesn’t seem like the lower driver side vents doing much when switched to the air high and low setting. Tried all forms of AC, fan, high, low, cold, heat, Rear on/off, etc etc etc. Seems like maybe this is a known issue just curious before going down the rabbit hole if others who recently had this issue had any luck resolving…
