What state/country is this? Not in California, USA. The key word here is "generally."

California Lemon Law, formally known as the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Tanner Consumer Protection Act:
  • It covers all new vehicles, as well as used and leased vehicles that are still covered by the manufacturer's new vehicle warranty.
  • It only covers vehicles sold or leased in California. So, if you bought your vehicle in another state, it doesn't qualify.
  • It covers vehicles for the first 18 months after purchase / lease, OR with less than 18,000 miles driven, whichever comes first.
  • It requires automakers to replace or buy back a vehicle that doesn't function properly, under its written warranty, after a "reasonable" number of attempts.
So, what's "reasonable"? The law doesn't give an exact number, but it does specify some general guidelines:
  • The manufacturer / dealership has tried at least two times to repair a problem with the vehicle that, if unrepaired, could cause injury or death.
  • The manufacturer / dealership has tried at least four times to fix the same problem.
  • The vehicle has been "in the shop" for repairs, for more than 30 days total, leaving the owner unable to drive it for at least that amount of time. It doesn't have to be 30 consecutive days; if multiple visits add up to 30 days, the Lemon Law may take effect.
Its called buyers remorse law, not to be confused with cooling-off rule. For whatever reason you federally have the law on your side to back out of a contract given a allowed amount of time. That time period? Depends on your situation. Lemon laws which you are looking at are for car with issues. This is not that kind of situation.

A rapid search on ebay shows a cargo cover $119 +tax, sold 10 4 available, fast shipping, easy returns, good seller 100%, that's dinner here, with wine that is. Is it really worth that much hassle??

Not from the horse's mouth, but close enough:

Can You Return the Car You Just Bought?

"Most stores let you return clothes and products for a refund if you regret the purchase. But that's almost never the case with new cars, for which return and refund policies and laws are notoriously strict. Nevertheless, people with buyer's remorse ask us all the time: Can I cancel the transaction?
When it comes to new cars, the answers are "no" and "maybe." (If you're a used-car buyer, you might have better luck returning the car, but it all depends on the state in which you live and the individual dealership's policies.)
For new cars, your legal rights can be summed up in the one sentence that's posted on the wall of many dealership sales offices: "There is no cooling-off period."

The Federal 'Cooling-Off Rule'
You might have heard there is a federal cooling-off rule for some purchases. There is such a rule, but it is primarily meant to protect consumers from high-pressure door-to-door sales tactics. It explicitly doesn't apply to automobiles. If you signed the sales contract, you own the car. And the law is on the side of the seller."

Buyer’s Remorse and Contract Cancellation Rights

"What Types of Contracts Fall Under the Buyer’s Remorse Exception?

Whether or not a contract falls under the Buyer’s Remorse exception is entirely up to the governing law in a jurisdiction. For example, California does not provide a cancellation period for automobile sales and leases. Unless a specific dealership or lease agreement provides otherwise, buyers do not have the option to cancel an automobile sale or lease without first showing legal cause. In looking to determine whether a buyer may cancel a contract after a showing of legal cause, courts will often look for instances of fraud, undue influence, illegality, or a breach of a duty. However, under California Civil Code section 1689.6(a), buyers maintain the right to cancel a contract from door-to-door sales within three days. The intent of this statute is to protect buyers from overly ambitious salespeople and give buyers the opportunity to reflect on their purchases without the overbearing presence of the salesperson."

It's kind of ridiculous to return a perfectly fine car over such a minor thing. You should have checked the moment you took delivery of the car. I think you have a solid case here and you should show proof that these items are standard to the dealer (or escalate to corporate).

But it's definitely not worth your time or stress to return the car. Worst case - spend the hundred bucks and just get it on ebay. Move on with your life and enjoy the car.

No doubt. The OP never mentioned returning the vehicle. Others spun this into the ridiculous zone.

Both of my RX 350 fsport came with them. I'd call dealership and tell them they forgot to put in your car.

We picked up our new 2020 RX350 today from Performance Lexus, Covington, KY. It came with the rear cargo cover and a rear cargo net. The sales person said the cargo covers are standard equipment and the cargo net is part of a package included with our model.

My 2016 Rxh came with both net and cover but I special ordered it and told my sales guy "I want everything" and that's what I got. It's listed under standard options. I'm considering dumping this one for a 2021 due to the 3G debacle.

Does the tonneau cover and net come as standard equipment for the 2020 RX 350? Or were they optional purchases?

Also is a hitch standard for F Sport 2 (Canada) model? Mine has a red square underneath the bumper. Not sure if it's standard OEM or aftermarket. Purchased used from a third party dealer.

The tonneau cover was part of the standard equipment on my 2020 RX350. It doesn't appear on the window sticker equipment list, so I believe it was included in all trim levels. The cargo net was part of an Accessory Package that was option equipment for 2020, and also included a cargo mat, wheel locks and key gloves. Note that my 2020 is a US model with the Premium package.

Thank you, I just picked up a new to me 2020 and it did not have the tonneau or storage net for the trunk. It did have cargo mat. Will have to check for the wheel lock.

Does anyone know about the trailer hitch? Will that have any issues being in use with the F Sport 2 package?

I have a 2020 FSport 3, installed the curt hitch no issues. Am using it for a bike rack only. Check in my posts for pics.

The tonneau cover was included on both my wife's 2020 RX 350 and my 2021 RX 450h. However, the tonneau cover is not listed as standard equipment on the sticker for either vehicle. The cargo net is an option. It was included in my 2021 RX 450h in a package with a carpeted cargo mat, wheel locks and key gloves. I went to an aftermarket genuine Lexus parts supplier to get wheel locks and a cargo net for my wife's 2020 RX 350.
